Gold & White or Black & Blue?

The dress on facebook has created a debate: what color is that dress? There have been articles and opinions that have created misconceptions about light, translations to the brain, and the color spectrum. This dress is a great example of an optical illusion.

Optical Illusion
How many black dots do you see below? Look carefully, the answer may surprise you.

What is an optical illusion? Optical illusions are caused by a mismatch of what the eyes see and what the brain interprets

  1. I have two illusions actually, one is a picture of a duck, nothing too special, correct? But wait, if you look at it another way, it looks like a rabbit. The other one, is almost the same thing, but if you look at a picture of a frog, again, nothing too special... And if you turn your head, its a frog! Suprised yet?

(Note: I wish I could post a picture of it on this, but I can't find a way to do that. >_<)

    1. One more common illusion, is that you look at a picture, looks like a vase, right? Well, doesn't it also look like two heads? Exactly! It's an illusion, your eyes are saying its a vase! No, its two heads! Same thing with the rabbit/duck, or frog/horse. They are all illusions!

    2. Oops, on the part when it says (And if you turn your head, its a frog!) I meant to say, And if you turn your head, its a horse! Sorry for the confusion.
